It includes features that can withstand potential impacts, reduce the risk of self-harm, and minimise damage to the property or occupants.

These features may include:

• Reinforced walls

• Durable fixtures

• Secure design elements

• Secured windows and entry and exit points

• Sound proofing if required

 

High Physical Support

NDIS High Physical Support Accommodation type of housing includes a high level of physical access for people who need high support needs specialised Disability accommodation and 24/7 support. This category is designed to support individuals with complex disabilities who require significant assistance with daily activities and personal care. It includes:

• Ceiling track systems

• Communication technology

• All entries and exits to be able to accommodate wheelchair access

• Purpose-built rooms to accommodate equipment and medical needs

• Emergency call systems

• Non-slip flooring

• Grab rails

• Back- up power supply
